Hello! What's your background?
Hi, Iβm Josh
Iβve always been a big fan of No-Code Exits and am excited to see it continue growing. I started as a graphic designer 15 years ago, moved into creating Wordpress sites, then Shopify sites, then started testing out No-Code tools like Softr and Airtable.
During this time I started reading No-Code Exits and did a few build challenges.
I finally acquired No-Code Exits back in December from Jeremy Redman after he swooped in and bought it the first time π .
Which tools do you use to build and run No-Code Exits?
Substack - for this newsletter
Softr - for nocodeexits.com
Tally - for forms
Airtable - for database
GummySearch - for audience research
Passionfroot - for managing advertising
What tool do you use to find what to write about?
A lot of credit goes to Katt for creating all the content and getting the newsletter off the ground. She also left amazing SOPβs in Notion describing her processes to run the newsletter and the tools she uses.
One of the main tools is GummySearch which Iβm going to cover in this post.
The platform breaks down search into subreddits, themes, and topics, offering a structured way to gather information.
The themes are further broken down making it easy to narrow your research:
Hot Discussions: Real-time trends and popular topics within niche communities.
Top Content: High-engagement posts that reveal what captivates users.
Solution Requests: Direct queries from users looking for solutions, ripe for product validation.
Self-Promotion: Insights into how similar startups are marketing themselves.
Advice Requests: Common questions and advice sought, indicating user pain points or educational opportunities.
Pain & Anger: Areas where users express frustration, highlighting potential market gaps.
Ideas: Creative or innovative concepts discussed by the community.
Opportunities: Business or product opportunities spotted within discussions.
Money Talk: Insights into how users perceive value, pricing, and investment.
News: Staying updated with industry-specific news that affects consumer behavior.
Hereβs a snapshot when I searched subreddits for nocode:
My Experience with GummySearch:
I saved a ton of time using the find patterns option. I was able to bypass reading through 21,023 words, saving me 87 minutes. Probably longer, especially considering my dyslexia π
The AI feature analyzed 100 submissions and condensed them into actionable insights.
Starting to question how we got anything done before AI.
After analysis, I was able bookmark and download pattern results making it super smooth and enjoyable. Turns out research can be really fun with the right tools.
Actionable Steps from Insights:
Updated Content Strategy: I revised the "Tools" section on nocodeexits.com header to "No-Code AI Tools and Platforms" based on keyword popularity.
Created a new content plan focusing on high-demand topics within the AI No-Code space - coming soon!
How other Founders have used GummySearch
Moritz and Matthias leverage GummySearch to source validated problems and business solutions for their newsletter. They highlight how the tool drastically reduced the time spent on community research, from hours of manual scrolling to quick keyword-based searches.
Fed, Founder of GummySearch originally developed GummySearch to promote his other project but soon realized its potential as a standalone tool. He uses it to identify pain points, validate ideas, and engage with potential customers, leading to GummySearch generating $60K in its first year of operation.
If youβre a startup founder that uses Reddit, GummySearch is the best at finding problems to solve.
This spot is a little oddly self serving π since I run the newsletter
